ARLINGTON, Wash. — Over the weekend, a batch of cats and dogs were flown from California shelters to Washington to make room for pets who’ve been separated from their families during the wildfires.

The City of Arlington says the NOAH Center welcomed 34 dogs and five cats via a Wings of Rescue Flight from Merced:

The animals are in need of help. The city says the shelter is in urgent need of used or new bath-sized towels for the puppies who arrived.
