Another windy day Tuesday: Here's what to expect

While things have calmed down, we're still going to have an active day, just not as active as Monday.

Rain will be around and occasionally heavy into Tuesday with many areas getting another quarter to three-quarters of an inch.

  • Breezy Tuesday with occasional rain
  • Mountain snow, heavy at times
  • A little drier by week's end

Wind Advisory in some areas

For most of the area, breezes out of the south will top 30 mph during the daytime hours in highest gusts, but hopefully further power issues will be minimal.

However, the north interior and the central coast are under a Wind Advisory where gusts near 50 mph are very possible again.  Highs  will be in the upper 40s to near 50.

Mountain snow

In the mountains, one to three feet of snow will fall in the north and south Cascades while 6-16 inches will fall in the central Cascades above 3,000 feet.  Snoqualmie Pass will likely get less than Stevens but travel issues are possible.

Looking ahead

Wednesday will be showery and a little blustery before a calmer and somewhat drier period Thursday through Saturday.  Another system comes our way Sunday.
