Argument over dog leads to stabbing on Metro bus, police say

SEATTLE — A man was seriously injured Monday afternoon after a stabbing on a Metro bus in Seattle.

Seattle police said the stabbing happened just before 4 p.m. at Queen Anne Avenue and Mercer Street.

Police said three people on the bus were arguing over the ownership of a dog. When the bus stopped, one of the people stabbed the man in his legs and arms as he was exiting.

Police said the suspect then ran away and has not been found.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.

One of the people involved in the argument was detained, but police said they later determined he was not the suspect.
