Around The Sound: Beloved indoor mini park returns to Puyallup

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Parents in Puyallup are celebrating the return of a beloved indoor play program at the city’s recreation center.

It’s called the indoor mini park.

It’s open from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Friday.

Parks and Rec Director Cody Geddes says staff fill the entire space with play toys, gym mats, balls and more for toddlers to play with.

It costs $2 per child and is open to children ages five and younger. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Eric Johnson with the city of Puyallup says the program was put on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since its return, though, he says the response has been phenomenal.

Information about the indoor mini park can be found here.
