Backhoe falls off trailer and hits car in Redmond

A backhoe fell off a trailer of a large truck and hit a car in Redmond Wednesday, according to Chopper 7 footage from the scene.

At about 11:33 a.m., officers with the Redmond Police Department responded to a report of a traffic collision in the 14800 block of Redmond Way.

When they arrived, they found a large truck with a trailer carrying an excavator backhoe that had tipped over and hit another car.

There were no reported injuries.

The southbound lane of 148th Avenue Northeast was closed as crews worked to clear the scene.

Commuters were asked to use an alternate route.
