Bellevue, Wash. — Bellevue’s economic plan update has officially begun.

The Economic Development Plan updates are focused on reinforcement of the city’s position as the second-largest employment hub in the state.

“Bellevue’s unique and diverse economy has helped make our city a true destination,” said Mayor Lynne Robinson. “Updating this plan at a time when the city is reviewing many of its planning efforts, ensures cohesive strategies to address our evolving economic landscape and leverage new opportunities.”

The city council gave feedback on its priorities, which included support for small businesses, diversity of the economy and taking advantage of its international connections.

The community can participate through the first half of 2025, with the final plan expected by late 2025.

Since 2020, Bellevue has seen significant growth, including a 16% increase in retail sales and a 3% rise in employment.
