BELLEVUE, Wash. — Bellevue police are hoping the public can help them identify suspects in two incidents they believe may be related.

Police say a man robbed a 72-year-old woman Friday afternoon, injuring her in the process. Drew Anderson with the Bellevue Police Department tells KIRO 7 the woman was taken to the hospital.

“She was just doing what every person does, shopping, and a suspect came from behind her and got her purse, then pushed her down,” Anderson explained. “It’s a horrible situation that happened.”

The woman’s family says the suspect stole her purse in the parking lot outside of the H Mart in Downtown Bellevue. According to Anderson, two men matching the same description threatened a group of teens with a gun nearby at Bellevue Square just a few hours prior.

“The suspects drove by them and appeared to display a firearm,” he told KIRO 7.

Police are asking the public to remain vigilant. They are also asking anyone with information or video of what happened to contact them. They say the suspects are young men who were driving a four-door sedan.

“These incidents are rare, that’s why we’re coming to public and asking for help,” Anderson said.
