KENT, Wash. — Part of a busy highway was closed after a fatal crash involving a bicyclist in Kent.
It happened on eastbound Southeast Kent-Kangley Road at 132nd Avenue Southeast around 5:40 a.m. Wednesday.
A bicycle and a box truck crashed. The person riding the bike, a 27-year-old Kent man, died from his injuries.
The driver of the box truck, a 41-year-old Covington man, stopped and cooperated with investigators, according to Kent Police.
Both directions of SE Kent-Kangley Road/State Route 516 were closed at the scene while officers investigated.
