SEATTLE — The bodies of the boaters missing since early September were recovered from Lake Washington on Monday, police said.
The King County Medical Examiner's office identified the two bodies as James Le and Vanna Nguyen, who friends told KIRO 7 in September were on the boat. The manner of death was determined to be accidental drowning.
The bodies were discovered by the Mercer Island Police Marine Patrol around 4:30 p.m. They were recovered from 110 feet of water, around 1 mile from the Mercer Island shore.
The Coast Guard suspended the search for Le and Nguyen on Sept. 4 after the pair hadn't been seen for two days after disappearing from a boat in Lake Washington.
