Body found at South Seattle encampment being investigated as possible homicide

SEATTLE — Detectives are investigating a suspicious death as a possible homicide after a body was found at a South Seattle homeless camp.

At around 8 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to the encampment in the 9200 block of Myers Way South in the Highland Park neighborhood.

Police saw signs of trauma on the victim’s body.

Members of the Seattle Police Department’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit came to the scene to help homicide detectives, who will lead the investigation.
