Bremerton police prevent 40 pounds of drugs from hitting the street

BREMERTON, Wash. — The Bremerton Police Department says it prevented 40 pounds of drugs from getting onto the streets.

It’s thanks to an investigation that happened the week of February 3, with help from Sequim and Port Angeles police.

The department says it found bags of fentanyl, cocaine, meth, heroin, and cocaine as well as several guns and about $75,000 in cash.

Bremerton police say the legislature’s re-criminalization of drug possession has given them an avenue to combat this criminal activity and hold drug dealers accountable.

“This will no doubt save numerous lives that would have otherwise added to the epidemic of drug overdoses the city has been experiencing,” the department says.
