SEATTLE — Crews battled a fire at a vacant building in downtown Seattle.
The Seattle Fire Department tweeted about the fire in the 1500 block of Second Avenue near Pike Street at 5:24 a.m.
The flames at the vacant building were quickly brought under control.
Westbound Pine Street between Second and Third avenues was blocked for the fire response until 7:30 a.m. while crews remained at the scene putting out hot spots.
All lanes have reopened.
UPDATE: 2nd Ave right lane & 3rd Ave NB & SB have cleared WB Pine St between 2nd Ave & 3rd Ave remains blocked. Use caution and seek alternate routes.
