FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Two men rammed an SUV into a business and then drove off with a safe last month, deputies with the King County Sheriff’s Office said.
On Sept. 20 at 12:46 a.m., deputies were called to a burglar alarm sounding at a business in the 37300 block of Enchanted Parkway South, just outside Federal Way.
Deputies arrived to find the front door smashed in. An employee of the business arrived shortly after and told deputies the company’s safe was missing.
Surveillance footage showed a dark Chevy Tahoe was used to bash in the front door. A man then got out and ran toward the back of the business. After disappearing out of view for a minute, the man reappeared, got back into the Tahoe and drove away.
An hour later, a stolen gray Kia SUV pulled into the same parking spot. Surveillance footage showed the same man who was driving the Tahoe earlier get out and enter the business through the broken front door, along with another man.
A few minutes later, the first man was seen pulling a safe outside. Both men struggled to get the safe into the Kia before driving away.
The first man is described as Black, wearing a black jacket over a red T-shirt, dark-colored jeans, red shoes and a baseball cap.
His accomplice is also Black, wearing long dark pants, with a white shirt wrapped around his head.
Anyone who can identify either man or the vehicles they arrived in is asked to call the King County Sheriff’s Office 24-hour non-emergency number at 206-296-3311 and refer to case #C21029631.
