BOTHELL, Wash. — Burglars used a car as a battering ram to smash through a Bothell recreational marijuana store.

It happened at the Have a Heart store on Meridian Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say three suspects used a dark-colored KIA to break into the building.  It took three hits to ram through the roll up door that was recently installed as a wall.

The owner of the shop provided KIRO 7 with surveillance video that showed the door coming off its hinges and debris flying. The damage to the store is estimated to be $8,000 to $10,000.

The burglars then ran inside and stole thousands of dollars in marijuana products. They were inside the store for about four minutes. Video shows them using garbage cans to carry the products.

The owner had just put up the new wall in October after an attempted break-in.

Since the store has been open for about a year and a half, there has been one attempted break-in and two successful burglaries.

Police have found the vehicle used in the burglary.
