KENT, Wash. — 22 people were displaced Friday night after someone hit a fire hydrant with their car, flooding six units.
It happened at a complex on 26th Place South in Kent.
Puget Sound Fire says the first call came in just before 7 p.m.
Crews were able to get the water gushing from the hydrant under control in about 45 minutes.
The driver took off and has not been found.
The Red Cross has been called to help those displaced because of the flooding.
