AUBURN, Wash. — One person is dead and three others are hurt after the car they were in crashed into a home in Auburn.

The crash at the Wildwood Mobile Estates, in the 4000 block of Auburn Way South, happened at around 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

Auburn police said car was heading east when the driver lost control and crashed into the home. Several people in the car were ejected.

There were four people inside the car. Three people were critically injured and one person was killed.

Though the house was badly damaged, no one inside was hurt.

Police don’t yet know if the driver was impaired, but they said the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it rolled over several times and crashed into the house.

Neighbors say speeding on the road, which is also known as State Route 164, continues to be a problem.

“This is a major road going in from Enumclaw into the major downtown here, and it’s terrible,” said John, a neighbor.

Jake lives in a nearby apartment complex. He said his building has been hit by a car as well.

“That’s why our apartment put those big rocks,” he said. “I don’t know how many times I’ve almost been in an accident through the roundabout, going through Enumclaw, coming out of Enumclaw. People going triple the speed, going 100 mph in a 35 (mph zone). I don’t know what else is going to make it change.”
