Members of the Northwest Carpenters Union approved a contract on Monday, accepting an agreement with the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Washington, according to a statement from the union.

With 5,318 members casting their votes, 53.65% voted to accept the contract.

The new three-year contract includes a 15.43% increase in wages and benefits.

The existing parking zone in Seattle will be expanded to include First Hill, and a first-ever parking zone will be established in Bellevue starting June 2022.

Retroactive wages for members working on certain jobs to June 1, 2021, were also included.
