Cat rescued after catnap in cop car in Kent

KENT, Wash. — Looking for a warm place to sleep, a feral cat jumped into the engine compartment of a Kent police SUV while the officer was grabbing a snack.

The feline was not cooperative with negotiators and refused to leave the car.

Unwilling to drive off and possibly kill the cat, the officer called for backup.

After a tow truck arrived, the SUV was lifted and the cat was safely secured.
