Deputies: Suspect arrested in White Center pizza shop robbery

KING COUNTY, Wash. — Jan. 3, 2020 Update: King County deputies said the suspect in Monday’s White Center pizza show robbery was arrested.

The King County Sheriff’s Office said that the suspect, a 28-year-old man, was arrested by SeaTac police.

The man will be booked into the King County Jail for investigation of robbery.

Deputies are looking for a man who they said was caught on camera assaulting an employee while robbing a pizza shop Monday in White Center.

Investigators with the King County Sheriff’s Office said a man entered the back door of the pizza shop located in the 9800 block of 16th Avenue Southwest and headed straight to the office where an employee was counting money during closing time.

In video it shows the man forcefully trying to grab a bag.

After the man gets the bag, he leaves out the back door and runs away, deputies said. Deputies said it was a strong-arm robbery because it happened with no weapon.

Officials said when deputies arrived at the pizza shop, they were unable to find him.

The suspect is described as black, 6 feet, 1 inch tall and was wearing a black winter hat, black sweatshirt, black pants and black Nike sandals.
