CenturyLink field ranked second-best stadium in NFL

SEATTLE — If you’ve ever been to a Seattle Seahawks game at CenturyLink Field, you know it’s a special environment.

While the 12s may be biased about their Seattle digs, a group of NFL writers also agrees.

The Athletic recently had their 31 NFL writers rank the NFL’s five best and five worst stadiums in the league.

SoFi Stadium, the new home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, and Allegiant Stadium, the new home of the Las Vegas Raiders were not included in the voting because games have not yet been played there.

CenturyLink Field finished ranked second-best overall, trailing only U.S. Bank Stadium – the home of the Minnesota Vikings since 2016.

According to The Athletic’s Jon Machota, CenturyLink tied for the most top-five votes but fell one first-place vote short in the tiebreaker.

“Attendees truly believe that their vocal presence dramatically impacts the game, that if they’re loud as hell, especially during a prime-time bout, no victory is out of reach,” Seahawks reporter Michael-Shawn Dugar said.

Trailing CenturyLink Field and U.S. Bank Stadium in the top 5 were AT&T Stadium (Dallas Cowboys), Lambeau Field (Green Bay Packers) and Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City Chiefs).
