SEATTLE — Kraken fever continues across the Seattle area, after the team’s stunning upset of the reigning Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche over the weekend. For what comes next, watching games in person for the next series against the Dallas Stars could cost you.

KIRO 7 entered the ticket queue for tickets in the second round when it opened Monday at 10 a.m. After waiting in the virtual line for roughly 25 minutes, the cheapest individual ticket for Games 3 and 4 at Climate Pledge Arena was upwards of $300 before Ticketmaster fees. For those trying to buy in pairs, it was nearly $400 each before fees.

As it turns out, you may be better off catching a flight to Dallas instead. Seats at American Airlines Center were as cheap as $73 before fees as of Monday afternoon. Paired with a $200 Alaska Airlines flight at leaving today at 11 p.m., the combined price of travel and a ticket would wind up costing less than one seat at Climate Pledge.

Alaska Airlines is also partnering with the Seattle Kraken for $99 flights to Dallas through Friday for any fans who want to make the trek to Texas. That includes a special commemorative flight Tuesday morning.

Puck drop for the first game in the series will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The full schedule for the series goes as follows:
