SEATTLE — Lovers of the Chick-fil-A fast-food chain will be happy to hear that a store is opening in North Seattle next week.
The store at 12801 Aurora Avenue North in the Bitter Lake neighborhood will open on June 27.
In the past, opening events have included parking lot campouts of fans hoping to win a year’s worth of free meals. They’ve also caused traffic jams for weeks.
In 2015, the opening of the Bellevue location had police officers directing traffic to keep cars moving and the crowds continued for several weeks. The city had to implement a new traffic plan to accommodate the massive lines of cars traveling around the restaurant.
The Seattle opening will have similar fanfare with a First 100 Red Carpet Rollout giveaway. Those who live within eligible zip codes with identification can register for the event starting at 5 a.m., with prizes awarded at 6:50 a.m.
The store will open at 7 a.m.
If you were planning on camping out, Chick-fil-A’s rules for this event say participants should not arrive more than 30 minutes before the giveaway begins. There is limited space and tents are not allowed.
