An investigation is underway to find out how a child died in a collision Saturday afternoon in Kent.
At about 4:50 p.m. police were called to the 10800 block of Southeast 208th Street for a report of a vehicle versus a pedestrian.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the child pinned between two vehicles, police said.
Medics performed lifesaving measures, but the child died at the scene, officials said.
According to law enforcement, one of the drivers involved in the crash might have been experiencing a medical emergency.
It doesn’t appear that drugs or alcohol were involved, authorities said.
The road was closed for some time for the investigation.
A police chaplin was called to assist the family of the child.
