Authorities today released chilling 911 calls from a home invasion in White Center last week, in which the homeowner shot and killed the intruder.
The homeowner was not hurt and will not face any charges.

In the 911 call, we can hear the homeowner telling the operator that someone had broken into his house through a window and that he was hiding in his bedroom closet.

Minutes, later you can hear the operator asking him if his door is locked. Then, you can hear the sound of gunshots.
Deputies said the 35 year old homeowner opened fire on the 29 year old suspect as he was coming into the bedroom. The suspect was not armed.
“You have every right to protect your life and family if you are in fear of your life and safety,” said Ryan Abbott with the King County Sheriff’s Office.
KIRO 7 went to the home where this incident happened on April 22. Neighbors said the homeowner had not stayed there since the break-in.
“It does make me really on edge,” said Diana McKune who lives across the street with her 3-year-old son. “It’s a blessing his kids weren’t there when this happened.”
Deputies said the homeowner was home alone that night.
The operator who responded to his call had just finished her training three weeks earlier.
