SEATTLE — With overnight temperatures expected to reach near freezing, the city of Seattle’s Human Services Department (HSD) is opening a cold weather shelter on Tuesday and Wednesday night at Seattle Center.

The shelter will be open to adults 18+  from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and clients are asked to use the lower level entry at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall – located at 301 Mercer St., Seattle, WA 98109. No referral is necessary.

“I want to thank the Salvation Army and the Seattle Center for their ongoing partnership in operating emergency shelters in very cold weather," HSD Interim Director Jason Johnson said. "Given the very cold temperatures, we ask all shelters to ensure all available space is used to help bring people inside into warm, safe spaces."
