A multivehicle collision involving a semitruck shut down both directions of Interstate 90 between North Bend and Easton on Wednesday night, Washington State Patrol Trooper John Bryant said.
The interstate was closed for nearly seven hours. Both directions reopened around 4:45 a.m. Thursday.
Westbound traffic was stopped at Exit 70 in Easton. Eastbound traffic was stopped at Exit 34 in North Bend.
Bryant said a semitruck hit Jersey barriers and then rolled over, pushing the barriers onto the eastbound lanes, where three vehicles collided with the barriers. One of the vehicles was an ambulance.
Minor injuries were reported, but troopers did not say who was injured.
#Update - 4 vehicles involved (minor injury). Semi headed WB strikes concrete jersey barriers which are pushed into EB lanes. This causes 3 EB vehicles to collide with the barriers and each other. Semi (carrying 62K pounds) rolled over on its side perpendicular to the WB lanes. pic.twitter.com/MrzQfqEL1c
