SEATTLE — A Seattle man already convicted of killing his girlfriend's daughter in 2001 was back in court Friday.
Chayce Hanson, 43, was convicted of raping a woman who had suffered a stroke during a car accident in 2017.
Instead of getting her help when her head hit the windshield of his truck and triggered a stroke, investigators said Hanson took her home and raped her.
Hanson was convicted of rape, assault, hit-and-run, vehicular assault and witness tampering for the incident in February 2017.
On Friday, Hanson maintained his innocence and shook his head as the victim addressed the judge during the sentencing.
Hanson is no stranger to the courtroom. In 2001, he was convicted of murdering his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter. Investigators say he kicked or pushed the toddler down the stairs.
Hanson was sentenced to 25 years in prison. A Supreme Court ruling in 2002 regarding felony murder caused his conviction to be thrown out.
In 2006, Hanson was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 10 years.
On Friday Hanson was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
