TACOMA, Wash. — Crews are monitoring hot spots after battling a large fire at a commercial building in Tacoma on Saturday.
The fire broke out at a building in the 3100 block of South Pine Street. The building is currently being used by a linen service company, Tacoma Fire Department reported.
When fire crews arrived, they could see fire and smoke coming from the building.
Crews took a defensive strategy to the fire, which was later upgraded to a two-alarm.

The fire was contained to the building it started in, but much of the roof collapsed.
Crews reported at 5:33 p.m. that they were still containing the hot spots and planned to remain at the scene overnight to monitor any “flare ups.”
South Pine Street between South Tacoma Way and Center Street was closed while crews battle the fire, but three lanes have since reopened.
No injuries were reported.
Officials said they plan to find out the cause of the fire on Sunday.
KIRO 7 viewer Joe Young sent in video that showed the roof of the building in flames - watch it below.
