BELLEVUE, Wash. — Firefighters put out flames at a high rise building in Bellevue Thursday morning.
It only took seven minutes for firefighters to put out the flames at the US Bank building at the corner of Northeast Eighth Street at 108th Avenue Northeast in downtown Bellevue.
The fire started at about 3 a.m. in the utility room on the roof. Fire officials say electrical wiring appears to be the origin of the fire, but investigators have not released an official cause.
The fire was contained to the utility room.
Emergency dispatchers working in a city building nearby spotted the flames and called 911.
108th Avenue Northeast at the scene is expected to be closed between Eighth and Tenth streets until about 6 a.m.
No one was hurt.
