SEATTLE — A natural gas leak prompted evacuations Friday afternoon near Boeing Field.
Crews responded to a report of a natural gas leak from a King County Airport commercial building in the 7000 Block of Airport Way South after 2 p.m.
When firefighters arrived, they assessed the situation and setup a 1,000-foot isolation perimeter around the buildings and restricted access to the area.

The impacted buildings were evacuated.
Airport Way South was closed between South Hardy and South Norfolk streets.
After 3:30 p.m., crews with Puget Sound Energy secured the leak and ventilated the area.
No injuries were reported.
