Woman in critical condition after rescue from Bitter Lake house fire

SEATTLE — Seattle Fire Department crews are responding to a fire at a residence in the Bitter Lake neighborhood.

The fire was reported around 5:40 a.m. at a home near N. 143rd Street and Fremont Ave. N on Friday.

One person was rescued from the building and is being treated by paramedics.

The Seattle Fire Department has identified the person as a 55-year-old woman, who is reported to be in critical condition.
