Crews are preparing to make emergency repairs to Seattle's State Route 99 Aurora Bridge that will leave drivers with only two lanes in each direction for nearly two weeks.
This comes after inspectors found advanced steel deterioration under the bridge over the weekend.

The right southbound lane has been closed since then as crews prepare to make repairs to the underside of the bridge deck.
On Thursday, WSDOT crews closed an additional southbound lane, allowing only two lanes to be open in each direction for the duration of the repair work.
According to WSDOT:
The lane closures create room for contractor crews to stage equipment during the repairs. Temporary lane markings will shift a single lane of southbound traffic into the northbound lanes, allowing two lanes of travel in each direction over the bridge as repairs are made.
