Ski areas in Washington state say they're getting ready to open, thanks to a big dump of snow.
Crystal Mountain and Mount Baker say they're opening for the season on Friday. Crystal already has 18 to 20 inches of snow and the forecast is calling for an additional 2 feet by Friday. Both resorts say they'll have limited operations initially but will open more runs as allowed.
Stevens Pass says it's monitoring the forecast and might be able to open during the holiday weekend.
