Darrell Cloud, the man who fatally shot his former Whitman Middle School teacher in the back in January 1994, was booked into the King County Jail Tuesday as part of another murder investigation.
The new case is a domestic violence investigation involving the death of Cloud's former girlfriend. Cloud is facing a second-degree murder charge in Spokane County, where police say Cloud beat girlfriend Candy Fealy in 2012.
Court documents stated that in April of 2012, a man later identified as Darrell Cloud "brought Candy Fealy to Deaconess Hospital ER in Spokane" and that Cloud "left and did not return."
The documents stated Candy was unconscious and had a "blood clot or bleeding on her brain that was life threatening and required emergency surgery.” They said she "had been in a coma for about 24 to 48 hours when she arrived at the hospital.”

Cloud claimed Candy got her injuries from a fight with a woman outside a bar, an event for which police found no proof, even after scouring surveillance video.
A detective stated in court documents, "Candy indicated ‘Yes’ when I asked her, ‘Did Darrell hit you?’... using a yes/no board because she could not speak."
Fealy died from her injuries on July 29, 2016.
Cloud was 24 when he waited outside the North Seattle middle school with an assault rifle before shooting Neal Summers in 1994.
He was a gifted football player and was even featured as KIRO’s athlete of the week. But he had a dark secret; Cloud said Summers sexually abused him for a decade. He received a $250,000 settlement in a lawsuit against the Seattle School District, which never admitted liability.
KIRO 7 has asked the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office when Cloud is expected to appear in court.
