KENT, Wash. — Police first reported a driver — who wasn't wearing his seat belt — in a Kent crash died, but he was revived on the way to the hospital, a lieutenant told KIRO 7 News.
Debris from the two-car crash is strewn across West Valley Highway; a stretch of highway from 212th Street to 220th Lane will be closed until 8 a.m. for the investigation. Southbound reopened around 7 a.m.
A driver of an Audi admitted to detectives he was speeding at more than 100 miles an hour, and was late for work, when he hit a Honda around 4:30 a.m.. The driver of the Honda is the man who is injured.
Authorities have one of the vehicles propped up on its side for the investigation.
Driving under the influence is not expected.
