LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Detectives are investigating a homicide after a Snohomish County gas station employee was shot and killed Sunday morning.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies responded around 5:40 a.m. to a homicide at the gas station located at 148th Street and Highway 99.
Detectives are on scene investigating a homicide that occurred earlier this morning at a gas station at 148th St and Hwy 99. One deceased. No suspect in custody. This is an active investigation and information will be provided as it becomes available.

Detectives learned that the suspect went into the store and shot an employee working inside and believed he was trying to rob the store.
The suspect then fled the scene.
Detectives are continuing to investigate.
The victim was later identified as 60-year-old TejPal Singh of Snohomish.
