Deputies looking for man in Mason County pot shop robbery

BELFAIR, Wash. — Mason County deputies are seeking information that may help identify a man and his SUV in connection with a robbery at a Belfair marijuana store last week.

On April 7 at 9:26 p.m., a man entered the Ganja Vita Marijuana store located at 23441 NE State Route 3 and asked an employee what time the store closed. He then left.

The man returned at 9:46 p.m. with a pistol visible in his waistband and demanded he be given the money in the cash register.

Surveillance video from businesses in the area shows a red mid-size SUV leaving the area northbound on SR 3.

The suspect is described as white, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, 190 pounds, wearing a dark beanie, a dark hooded sweatshirt and a black puffy-type vest with “Ecko Unltd” on the back in white lettering. He was wearing a blue surgical-style mask when he committed the robbery and a black gaiter face covering when he asked the employee how late the store was open.
