Deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department are asking for helps as they search for suspects wanted for burglary, kidnapping and robbery.
The suspects were identified by deputies as Omari Jerome Steele, 25, Emanuella “Ella” Charles, 25, and Z’jamayla Stele, 18.
On Jan. 19, deputies said Omari Steele went into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and asked for money. When the victim declined to give him cash, deputies said Omari Steele let Charles and Z’jamayla Steele into the apartment.
Deputies identified Omari and Z’jamayla Steele as cousins and Charles as Jerome Steele’s girlfriend.
The group then continued to demand the victim give them her purse and debit card, deputies said. When the victim refused, deputies said Omari Steele told the two other suspects to block her escape and to assault her.
“The female suspects stomped on the victim and the male suspect dragged her by her hair before the victim was able to escape by jumping from a second-story balcony,” a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Department wrote in a news release.
After the victim ran away, deputies said Omari Steele stole 50 pairs of Nike Air Jordans -- valued at more than $2,500.
Deputies described Omar Steele as a black man, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Deputies described Z’jamayla Steele as a black woman, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Deputies described Charles as a black woman, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Omari Steele and Charles used to live in Tacoma and may be in the Seattle area, deputies said.
Warrants for first-degree domestic violence burglary, first-degree domestic violence kidnapping and second-degree domestic violence robbery have been issued for all three.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to contact the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
