SPANAWAY, Wash. — Pierce County detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the person responsible for an attempted murder at a Spanaway bar last month.
On March 6 at 1:20 a.m., deputies were called to a shooting that happened during a concert at the Y Sports Bar & Grill at 19306 Mountain Hwy E.
When deputies arrived, witnesses told them that the man who had been shot had left in a car.
Troopers found the car with the 38-year-old victim inside. Deputies said he had numerous gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital by ambulance.
The victim survived his injuries.
Witnesses told detectives that the shooter was part of the event security team, but they did not give his name.
The shooter is described as a Black man with an average build. He was wearing black clothing, including a balaclava-style face covering. He may be driving a red Chevrolet Cobalt or Malibu and may live in Federal Way or the Seattle area.
