SEATTLE — An anonymous donor contributed 3,500 pounds of rib-eye steak to Seattle's Union Gospel Mission on Wednesday.
Steak will be prepared on Christmas Day.
The shelter will have open doors to welcome men, women and children without a place to spend the holidays.
Volunteers will serve more than 1,300 meals throughout the day.
Along with the rib-eye steak, the meal will also include shrimp, herb-roasted carrots and baked potatoes topped with bacon.
The meals will be distributed throughout the Union Gospel Mission's various locations listed on their website.
