KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. — A suspect wanted for first-degree felony murder by the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office was taken into custody Wednesday night.

Deputies put out an alert around 6:30 p.m. for 23-year-old Seth K. South, wanted in connection with an ongoing double-homicide investigation in the 16000 block of Scandia Road Northwest near Poulsbo.

According to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 911 call at a home in the area around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9th. There they found “two young adult victims deceased by homicidal means.”

Detectives reportedly found evidence at the scene resulting in the warrant for South’s arrest.

KIRO 7 talked to a spokesperson with the sheriff’s office, who shared that the suspect was related to the two victims and that the victims were both teenage boys.

Deputies say that South was last seen driving a black 2018 Tacoma four-door truck with Washington license plates D03530F, and may have driven to either Pierce or Thurston counties.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office warned community members of a large law enforcement presence and a road closure in the 16000 block of Scandia Road Northwest near Poulsbo. That stretch of Scandia Road was expected to be closed for several hours, and drivers were told to use Viking Way as an alternative route.

Deputies say South was believed to be armed and dangerous, asking anyone who saw South or had information to call 911 immediately.

By 8:44 p.m., the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that South had been arrested without incident in King County and that deputies were working with partner agencies to bring him back to Kitsap County, where he will be booked on a first-degree murder warrant.

They added that detectives and deputies would continue to work at the crime scene through the night, with Scandia Road remaining closed, asking the community to please avoid the area if possible.

The sheriff’s office said South was booked on suspicion of two counts of Second-Degree Murder and Assault in the Third degree. Criminal charges will be determined by the Kitsap County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

The assault charge is the result of South attacking a Kitsap County Sheriff’s Detective as he was being transferred from Pierce County custody to be transported to Kitsap County. The detective suffered minor injuries.
