TACOMA, Wash. — A driver was arrested early Sunday morning after two people died in a collision in Tacoma, police said.
The intersection of South 72nd Street and Yakima Avenue was shut down while police investigated and was reopened at 5:37 a.m.
Police did not give the gender or age of the victims.
The driver who allegedly caused the crash was arrested on two counts of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.
The crash remains under investigation.
