TACOMA, Wash. — An Auburn woman was arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run early Thursday morning, police said.

Police responded around 3 a.m. Thursday to a crash on I-5 just south of Portland Ave. in Tacoma.
Trooper Robert Reyer tweeted the collision was a fatality crash and the causing driver left the scene of the accident.
The victim, Kimberly Rokpeter of Lakewood, was identified by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office on Monday.
Troopers later located the causing vehicle, a gray Jeep Wrangler, but it was abandoned.
