SEATTLE — A driver was injured Saturday in a cement truck rollover on I-5 in Seattle near Lake City Way.
The rollover happened around 8:30 a.m. Responding crews said there was a small engine fire and that 5 to 10 gallons of diesel spilled.
The exit was still fully blocked at 10 a.m. Southbound SR 522 to the I-5 express ramp was also closed.
Officials said the driver was evaluated at the scene and taken to Harborview for treatment of minor injuries.
KIRO 7's Siemny Kim reports a concrete mix spilled out onto the roadway; officials at the scene said they hope it doesn’t rain.
Police said it appeared the driver was traveling too fast.
