FERNDALE, Wash. — A driver was killed in a three-car crash Tuesday evening after spinning out on I-5 in Ferndale.
The crash happened around 4:14 p.m. on southbound I-5.
Investigators say the driver, a 66-year-old man, lost control and spun out into the other lane where he was hit by two other cars.
The other two drivers were uninjured.
The roadway was fully blocked while troopers investigated.
Officials urged drivers to drive slowly as Whatcom County is experiencing freezing rain and slick roads throughout the night.
