LOS ANGELES — Former Seattle Seahawks star and current Baltimore Ravens safety Earl Thomas says he hopes to one day have his jersey retired by the Seahawks.

Thomas left the Seahawks to sign a four-year contract worth $55 million with $32 million fully guaranteed with the Baltimore Ravens in March. Click here to read more.

Appearing Tuesday on "The Rich Eisen Show" Thomas said, "I envision one day retiring as a Seahawk. I would never burn a bridge there. I still love my teammates. Hopefully they'll hang my jersey in the rafters."

Only Steve Largent, The 12th Man, Walter Jones, Cortez Kennedy and Kenny Easley have had their jerseys retired by the Seahawks.

At the NFL Combine in February, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said of Thomas’ impending free agency, “I’m all for whatever Earl decides. He’s been a fantastic part of everything and I’m rooting for him.”

Thomas was the second player drafted in the Pete Carroll and John Schneider era when the Seahawks selected him with the 14th overall pick in the 2010 Draft out of the University of Texas.

In his nine years with the Seahawks, Thomas was named to six Pro Bowls and has been named a first-team All Pro three times.

Thomas appeared in 137 career games and recorded 30 interceptions in his Seahawks career (playoff statistics included).

The Baltimore Ravens are scheduled to travel to CenturyLink Field in Seattle to play the Seahawks next season.
