KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. — A crash involving a wrong-way driver caused eastbound State Route 16 to be partially blocked near Port Orchard on Sunday afternoon.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Chelsea Hodgson said the collision involved two cars and happened near Mullenix Road.
Troopers responded to the scene to investigate and reported it was a serious injury collision. A sedan collided with a pickup.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital, but there was no word on the extent of their injuries.
Officials said other drivers called 911 about the wrong-way driver who was seen going westbound in the eastbound lanes starting from Wollochet Drive.
The investigation is ongoing.

The wrong way sedan collided with an eastbound pickup truck near the EB SR 16/Mullenix Road on-ramp.
