LYNNWOOD, Wash. — The Edmonds Police Department is hosting a Tip-A-Cop fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics Washington.
The fundraiser will run from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Claim Jumper – a restaurant located at 18725 33rd Ave West in Lynnwood.
“Officers will serve as hosts and waiters, and all tips they receive will be donated to Special Olympics. Come join us for delicious food, fun and to support Special Olympics,” the department wrote on Twitter.
Special Olympics Washington is a registered 501(3) (3) nonprofit organization that offers a chance for persons with intellectual disabilities to participate in sports and other programs.
Eighteen thousand athletes participate at no cost to themselves in a variety of sports in Washington and over 5 million athletes compete in Special Olympics programs worldwide. Click here to read more.
