Edmonds police release new video of 5 suspects in waterfront shooting

Edmonds shooting suspects

EDMONDS, Wash. — Detectives with the Edmonds Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying five people – believed to be involved in a shooting near the waterfront.

The department released new video and photos, hoping someone may recognize them:

The shooting happened on Jan. 9 around 2:30 a.m.

After speaking with the sister, Edmonds police learned that the two were at the waterfront near the ferry terminal and Arnie’s restaurant, a common spot to hang out and fish, even late into the evening.

Police say the five men in dark clothing approached the two and confronted them. Following a “very brief verbal exchange” at least one of the men, maybe two, opened fire on the 18-year-old.

The siblings did not appear to know this group, and the suspects ran off.

At last check, the man was in critical condition.

Detectives are actively investigating all aspects of a motive for the shooting.

If you have information call Edmonds Police or email policetips@edmondswa.gov.

If you know the suspects or where they are, do not approach them and call 911.
