Eight homes evacuated along Hood Canal after landslide, fire

Near LOFALL, Wash. — Eight homes along Hood Canal near Lofall were evacuated Monday evening after a landslide and fire.

Poulsbo firefighters were called to a report of a fire and a landslide on Seclusion Cove around 5 p.m.

The caller said the landslide had caused an RV and boathouse to catch fire.

The American Red Cross was summoned by the Kitsap Department of Emergency Management to help those who were evacuated.

As of Tuesday morning, one family had been provided with a place to stay. The Red Cross is continuing to work with other households displaced by the slide.

No injuries were reported.
